Accessories to Make Your RV Experience Awesome!

Australians love the great outdoors, and it’s only natural considering the island continent is home to some of the most beautiful and unique terrains and ecosystems in the world! With vast deserts, towering mountains, lush forests, endless stretches of wild coastline, and so much more, Australia is a living paradise for nature lovers! It’s easy to see why more people than ever own an RV (Recreational Vehicle), with 1 in 14 households registered as owning one! RVs are a wonderful way to take your family on a cross-country adventure, it’s your home away from home, providing a base camp from which you can mount hiking and boating expeditions! We have put together a list of some of the extras and accessories we think can help make your RV experience more awesome than ever!

Tow A Boat

Imagine driving cross country to a really lovely body of water and parking your RV along the shore. It’s a great view, but wouldn’t it be even greater if you could actually get out on the water, and maybe do some fishing? Well, you can, just put your boat on a tow trailer behind your RV and off you go! You will need some extra accessories, like a pair of excellent Milenco towing mirrors to ensure your safety, but otherwise, it’s anchors aweigh! You can have the best of both worlds, on land and on the water, what a great way to travel!

Awnings

These days many RVs come with one pre-installed, but you may find you want to supplement its coverage with an extra awning or two. Awnings are wonderful to have on so many levels, they act as an extension of your RV’s interior, but still allow you to experience the fresh air and view your surroundings. They provide shade on those scorching hot summer days, and keep the rain off so you don’t have to huddle inside! Awnings create a comfortable front porch for your home on the road. If you decide that you desire a little privacy in a busy campground, or need some protection from the wind, you can just lower the sidewalls, creating an indoor space outdoors! Relaxing under the pleasant shade of an awning is a great way to end a long day of adventuring!

Water Filter

While most campground water sources are clean, there might be times when you want to park farther off the beaten track and the available water may be a bit dodgy. This is a case where you really can’t be too careful, if the water is contaminated by bacteria or chemicals it could present a major health hazard for you and your family! Drinking from a fouled water supply can make you very sick, and change your fun road trip into a trip to the hospital! A high quality water filter also protects your plumbing system and appliances from corrosion and the build up of limescale. Being sure that you are drinking safe water will allow you to relax without having to worry!

We hope you enjoy your RV adventures, stay safe and have fun exploring some of the world’s most amazing places Down Under!
